I am so slow using the mobile phone for SMS because I rarely use the system. The system, however, can be really important sometimes but to take 20 minutes to send a message from the mobile is as best I can do (I'm old - a good excuse for everything). Can any of you bright minded youngsters recommend an SMS service (UK perhaps), that will enable me to type the message on my PC and send it to any mobile worldwide. (I use about 2 or 4 messages a month - but they are important). Many thanks ...... RWSMS messaging from PC. Advice on reliable PAYG service for occasional use.?

I can recommend a few free sms worldwide services - wadja.com, cbfsms.com (UK) and Orange (if you're an UK Orange customer), O2 (UK), Teleworld... There are several decent free sms worldwide sites at freetextsms.net too.

I would suggest that for now, you continue focusing on your grades in H.S.
Once you graduate, the main requirements for possibly becoming a member of my prestigious organization is first making sure there is an active chapter on campus. Then considering you can't go through MIP till your second year of school, I would focus on your grades your first year. Freshmen grades are critical when attending college. Strive to get All A's if possible, if not a few B's would be great as well. While you are waiting till your second year, join as many organizations as possible, and become actively involved on your college campus. (BSU, Gospel Choir, Student Government, etc..) Start performing community service NOW while you are in HS and continue doing so after you start college. You also want to make sure you keep in touch with the people that you are performing community service for, as you will need a letter of recommendation from them once you apply for membership.
Do you know an active and financial Delta? You will also need an active and financial member to write you a letter of recommendation as well....
Last but not least, get to know my sorors on campus. You will need their votes in order to get an invitation to membership. You can do this by attending their events, speaking to them *trust me, we don't bite* and allowing them to get to know you.
If you follow this, you stand a chance for membership!
Good luck to you!

Thinking of offering a service in the Orlando area where I go grocery shopping for busy people. Any advice?
I think that's a great idea especially if you target the elderly. There's a lot of them in Orlando and many have difficulty getting out and about. They could give you the list and go at it for a fee. Also, think about the disabled. They could use that service too.
Sounds great - go for it!Thinking of offering a service in the Orlando area where I go grocery shopping for busy people. Any advice?

I have an interview tommorrow for a field service IT role, it's my first IT job interview, advice please?
Talk about the lengths that you will go to to keep the customer satisfied with your company. Dont worry too much about the technical side as customer respect is paramount,. Years ago employers use to set technical exams but they now realise that making the customer feel happy and content is far more important. Never bullshit the customer , only promise what you are able to deliver. If you are late call the customer and explain why you are late. If you need to call for more parts tell the customer and give a realistic return time. Do what you can to protect the customers business. Understand the customers business needs and drivers and get behing them.
Hope it helps
Lastly relax and show them that you are a cool headed professionalI have an interview tommorrow for a field service IT role, it's my first IT job interview, advice please?

Just keep your cool. don't get exited. if you know the answer, answer it. other wise say i don't know. In any case if you keep your coll you may win otherwise you are going to loos any way.
Don鈥檛 say you don鈥檛 know an answer....say whatever comes to mind. They might ask you what your biggest fault is....say something positive, like, I'm way too organized. they like the hear that : )
Dont just talk about your IT knowledge, speak about keeping the customer happy, field service is all about interacting with customers.back blackheads
Hope it helps
