I have an interview tommorrow for a field service IT role, it's my first IT job interview, advice please?

Talk about the lengths that you will go to to keep the customer satisfied with your company. Dont worry too much about the technical side as customer respect is paramount,. Years ago employers use to set technical exams but they now realise that making the customer feel happy and content is far more important. Never bullshit the customer , only promise what you are able to deliver. If you are late call the customer and explain why you are late. If you need to call for more parts tell the customer and give a realistic return time. Do what you can to protect the customers business. Understand the customers business needs and drivers and get behing them.

Just keep your cool. don't get exited. if you know the answer, answer it. other wise say i don't know. In any case if you keep your coll you may win otherwise you are going to loos any way.
Don鈥檛 say you don鈥檛 know an answer....say whatever comes to mind. They might ask you what your biggest fault is....say something positive, like, I'm way too organized. they like the hear that : )
Dont just talk about your IT knowledge,speak about keeping the customer happy,field service is all about interacting with customers.
