My friend is dismissed she work for over 25 year service and had illnessed advice me please?

Hi friends, my friend work for 25 years in NHS, she is been dismissed, she had lot of sicknesses but they were getting better. But what I want to get advice is can the people who sack her look at her illness record for past 5 years does it still count? Or should they only look at the last year of absence and not beyond that? please help we are from russia and not speak good englishMy friend is dismissed she work for over 25 year service and had illnessed advice me please?
Ask for a letter asking for the reason she was dismissed. I have a really good friend who works for the NHS. He has had a lot of time off work due to having a twisted gut. The surgery to fix this (which was botched and he is considering suing) has caused multiple problems; firstly MRSA, then adhesion's, which occur with every surgery.

Due to this he is often in severe pain, and has had a lot of time off work. He saw an occupational therapist and the hospital he is at has not considered dismissing him.

It depends on why your friend was off sick... if it was for numerous colds etc they may think your friend was pulling a fast one. But even then they have procedures... they would have to give a verbal warning and then two written warnings.

If your friend had a sick note form the doctor they couldn't touch her; if the illness became a problem to her work she could be pensioned off.

If your friend was sacked with immediate effect, and without having written notices then it would be for gross misconduct, and your friend would have no come back.

Ask for a letter form her employer, then contact ACAS.My friend is dismissed she work for over 25 year service and had illnessed advice me please?
I thought you had to be really bad to get fired from the NHS, Did they perceive her as not being sick? Was she missing too much time?

They look at what they want to!
